The Venner sundial was created by Wilhelm Bünte. He collected boulders for years, and over time, the idea of creating a sundial emerged. In the center is the large central boulder, on which two smaller stones rest, thus representing a trinity. On the ground are the "number stones," which indicate the course of the day, the course of the year, the time, and the position of the shadow depending on the position of the sun. The four cardinal directions are also marked.
