The Sägemühle Inn has been permanently closed since 2025. Unfortunately, it must be said. But it's true. See also: https://www.thueringer-allgemeine.de/regionen/nordhausen/article242107216/Suedharzer-Traditionsgasthaus-vor-der-Schliessung.html

One of the most magnificent half-timbered houses in Stolberg is the "Alte Münze". The richly decorated building with the bay window at Niedergasse 19 houses the city museum of the same name and the tourist information office. The historic coin workshop in the "Alte Münze" museum is fascinating. The precious metals for the coins used to come from the mines of the southern Harz. Many of the exhibited devices are still fully functional. On certain dates, the large balance is operated and visitors can experience the production of the respective annual medal made of fine silver live. The annual medals dedicated to changing themes can be purchased on site, as can the house medal with the Stolberg deer. Source: https://gemeinde-suedharz.de/museum-alte-muenze-stolberg/

The Protestant hospital chapel of St. Georgii was first mentioned in documents in 1333, but the foundations are older. The building is connected to the immediately adjacent Georgenhospital, which was used as a church nursing home for centuries. Due to its destruction in the Thirty Years' War, the chapel was re-consecrated in 1657. In 1892, the chapel was rebuilt in its current form in the neo-Gothic style on the old foundations and renovated in the 1990s. During this time, senior-friendly apartments were built in the immediate vicinity of the building, continuing the tradition of the Georgenhospital. In front of the chapel there is a rectangular monument, with a kneeling soldier holding a laurel wreath and helmet. There are inscriptions on the front and back of the base, and lists of names on the sides. The monument was consecrated on May 21, 1922 and is dedicated to: "To their sons who fell in the war of 1914-1918, in gratitude the inhabitants of Stolberg."
