As of April 26: the road has been covered with gravel for the entire 3 km from Schiffsstede in the south to the main road in the north, presumably because the heavy machinery for the construction of the wind turbines damaged the road. Therefore, it is currently rather unsuitable for racing bikes.

"Reclining Aegina" 1968 GERHARD MARCKS Bronze Since 1964, Gerhard Marcks had increasingly focused on the motif of a reclining figure. Its name derives from the island of Aegina, where Marcks owned a summer house from 1964 onwards. He may have been inspired by the corner figures of Greek temple pediments, as the figure can be fitted almost exactly into an acute-angled triangle. Despite its initially natural appearance, the figure is highly constructed: arms, torso, hips, and legs form a dynamic framework of parallel lines. From the outset, the figure was conceptually intended for Bremen, as Marcks referred to it in letters as his "great Bremen woman." The bronze sculpture was installed in 1968 on Theaterberg in the city's ramparts. Source: https://www.kunst-im-oeffentlichen-raum-bremen.de/werke/legen-aegina-1968-mitte-art2003kior.html

I would have loved to ride to Grasberg with Jan Reiners. But the bike path also has its charms.
