The way to the parking lot is relatively confusing. Please drive at an appropriate speed.

In the area of the lake, there are only footpaths. Please move with care in the nature reserve!

You can get through the moor itself either via the railway cycle path, which is a bit more boring here, or via a path that runs parallel to it. This one is partially a bit rougher, but shows more of the moor. There is another path that leads past a small pond in the moor. I recommend it for MTB or Gravel…

The cycle path is something you have to have ridden once with every bike. The route is straight and usually even a bit shady. Sometimes the ground is bumpy due to roots, but usually you are fast on the way.

SFV Itzstedt was founded on June 12, 1980 by members of an interest group of anglers and hunters who had already leased part of Lake Itzstedt. Since its foundation, SFV Itzstedt has had the fishing rights for the entire lake area, with the exception of the protected area. Anglers have access to four club-owned boats, several jetties and a large number of quiet shore fishing spots. The number of members is limited to 50 sports enthusiasts by the lease agreement, which means that applicants may not be accepted immediately. However, interested parties can introduce themselves to club members or the chairman and be put on a waiting list. The prerequisites for admission to the club are the successful completion of the sport fishing test and, of course, a valid annual fishing license. Our club waters: Lake Itzstedt, which is around 15 hectares in size and up to 7.5 meters deep, is a natural feature that was created during the last ice age.

Cute old wooden bridge that invites you to idyllicly linger on the banks of the Norder Beste. How can you cool your feet and your dog too?
