Riegelnik was a student of the Actionist artist Hermann Nitsch. Since 1983, she has had exhibitions in Vienna and abroad. She has also contributed to several children's books. In 1993, she attended the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg, where she studied under Hermann Nitsch. She lives in Vienna and Carinthia.
