Bosco Taxodi (or Park of the Cypresses) in Paratico is a charming protected natural oasis located on the Brescia side of Lake Iseo, famous for its centuries-old trees with roots immersed in water. 🌿 Park Features Untouched nature: it hosts bald cypresses (Taxodium distichum), aquatic trees with characteristic aerial roots that emerge from the ground. Wooden walkway: an elevated pedestrian path allows you to walk in complete safety over the wetland and the submerged forest. Short walk: the entire circular route can be easily completed on foot in about 30 minutes. Local fauna: the area is an ideal observation point for birdwatching and for spotting rare bird species.

The Ponte di Via Roma (historically known as Ponte di Paratico-Sarnico) is the road and pedestrian infrastructure that crosses the Oglio river at the exact point where it flows out of Lake Iseo. This historic crossing connects the Bergamo shore (municipality of Sarnico) to the Brescia shore (municipality of Paratico), serving as a fundamental geographical and cultural link between the two provinces.

Typical place for a Sunday walk. An ice cream, a walk, and lots of relaxation. There are many places for a refreshing aperitif or a delicious artisanal ice cream. Furthermore, from the lakeside you can easily reach the historic center with its cobbled alleys and shops.

Remember to pay the 2 euro ticket to contribute to the maintenance of the nature reserve, which is very important for the passing wildlife.

The central trail is open almost year-round (except during breeding season) via wooden walkways and dirt sections. I recommend walking in complete silence out of respect for the animals and people who frequent it. Due to the mud, I also recommend wearing appropriate footwear. Also remember to pay the €2 ticket at the ticket machines located at each entrance.
