From Güsten, you ride on a cycle path along the Wipper to the Saale, then not immediately towards Bernburg, but first to the right towards Gröna directly along the Saale, then over the foot and cycle bridge and directly downstream along the Saale to Bernburg (6 km) for cycle tourists on the Saale cycle path, there is also a campsite directly on the Saale. From Bernburg, continue on the right side past the industrial area and on the left side back onto the Saale cycle path to Nienburg, in Nienburg not to the left over the bridge, but to the right in the direction of Wedlitz to Calbe Saale Ost (station) (total distance 37 km) or from Calbe Saale Marktplatz continue towards Schönebeck Salzelmen across the fields approx. 49 km (S-Bahn) to Magdeburg.

"It's beautiful in Greene," is the old village saying, still often quoted today. People are proud of this, and it's part of their tradition to make an effort. The people of Gröna were early adopters of the village renewal program. By 1997, public and private funds totaling DM 2.13 million had been invested in the modernization of the village; this is exemplary and incomparable to other communities in the Bernburg district. "No pain, no gain" doesn't apply to Gröna, as the honor of being named "Most Beautiful Village" has been won several times. What's even more important is stated in the documentation on village renewal from 1992 to 1996 on page 40. Quote: "The residents of Gröna and many outsiders like the place, its green bushes, the view of the Saale River, the horse pastures, the quarry stone walls, and the old pumps."
