"It's beautiful in Greene," is the old village saying, still often quoted today. People are proud of this, and it's part of their tradition to make an effort. The people of Gröna were early adopters of the village renewal program. By 1997, public and private funds totaling DM 2.13 million had been invested in the modernization of the village; this is exemplary and incomparable to other communities in the Bernburg district. "No pain, no gain" doesn't apply to Gröna, as the honor of being named "Most Beautiful Village" has been won several times. What's even more important is stated in the documentation on village renewal from 1992 to 1996 on page 40. Quote: "The residents of Gröna and many outsiders like the place, its green bushes, the view of the Saale River, the horse pastures, the quarry stone walls, and the old pumps." From the former "Lösewitzer Laube" restaurant, the signposted trail follows the Saale River bend below Plötzkau Castle. The trail is mostly on easy-to-walk, safe surfaces with asphalt paving and forest paths with a water-bound surface. There are also a few short sections with less safe surfaces (gravel). Maximum gradients/gradients of up to 3% are encountered. The trail is signposted throughout. Information boards provide easy orientation. The trail is car-free. There are three seating areas along the entire route.

The church is a single-nave, neo-Gothic building made of quarry stone dating from 1887, built on the medieval remains of an original structure. The interior furnishings, including the altar, pulpit, pews, and organ loft, all date from 1893. The oldest part of the church is the substructure of the west tower, which dates back to the 12th century. A princely crypt dating from 1575 is located beneath the east aisle.
