The old mill in Gerswalde is, or rather was, a steam mill. The simple brick building (built in 1862) had been owned by the von Arnim family since 1907. After German reunification, the Gerswalde Mill GmbH was founded, with two members of this large family prominently featured as shareholders. However, the misleading name referred to the large mill in Prenzlau, which apparently went bankrupt in 2023. What exactly is currently being operated here in Gerswalde is unfortunately unclear. There is no signage. Thus, it remains a dubious tourist attraction that requires further, painstaking research.

This stone village church truly stands out. It's unusually sturdy and so ideally situated in the small village that it offers excellent views from all sides. There are plenty of great photo opportunities!

Picturesque in principle, yes, especially if it's flowering season, but as a cyclist you have to concentrate fully on the poor path. The concrete slabs are awful, and later in the small wood, it's even very steep uphill if you're heading towards Potzlow and have the great viewpoint as your destination. Cars also drive here, and it's very annoying every time you have to stop and get off your bike!

This beautiful bathing area with a large sunbathing lawn is certainly accessible by car, but the roads are very poor. It's certainly not necessary to drive close to everything. The area is so beautiful that it's definitely worth taking a stroll or bike ride!

Among the most important furnishings is a tall, three-tiered carved wooden altar with richly decorated ormolu work, dating from 1625. It originated in Schmölln and was installed in Gerswalde in 1983. The altar depicts scenes of the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and the Ascension, as well as the Evangelists in shell niches.
