Gerswalde Mill

The old mill in Gerswalde is, or rather was, a steam mill. The simple brick building (built in 1862) had been owned by the von Arnim family since 1907. After German reunification, the Gerswalde Mill GmbH was founded, with two members of this large family prominently featured as shareholders. However, the misleading name referred to the large mill in Prenzlau, which apparently went bankrupt in 2023.

What exactly is currently being operated here in Gerswalde is unfortunately unclear. There is no signage. Thus, it remains a dubious tourist attraction that requires further, painstaking research.
