The Blue Adriatic, or Módra Adrija in Upper Sorbian, is a local recreation center with a swimming lake and campsite in the municipality of Großdubrau in Saxony. It was built on a water-filled mining pit, originally used by the local Adolfshütte as a kaolin open-pit mine. The water surface covers 4.8 hectares and is surrounded by predominantly grassy shores, interspersed with sandy sections, and directly merges into the adjacent forest. There are three Pechelteiche, the small, the lower and the large Pechelteich, separated only by the narrow dam from the large Milkel pond.

It is probably the largest water basin next to the many, many ponds and is home to many water birds, fish and frogs. The fairly new natural wooden hut has a direct view of the lake and is also great to look at.

Beautiful pond landscape in the biosphere reserve, many hiking trails around and between the ponds.

The lake is beautiful and also the tent and campsite is beautiful! That you have to pay should probably be fine if a lake is managed. There is also a slide there and of course all this costs money. Absolutely okay! There has been a new operator on the site since 2021 and he is trying his best to breathe new life into the place... Of course, investments have to be made here too. Nevertheless, the place is highly recommended, we come by more often now
