For me, the most important thing is what Michael writes about the Iller Cycle Path. It's boring, with lots of forested stretches and no view. It's only usable from Immenstadt onward. The Günz Valley Cycle Path is varied, but it can get crowded on weekends.

A shady spot to enjoy this idyllic setting for a few minutes. The peace and quiet of the forest provide renewed strength for the rest of the journey.

It's hard to imagine how large the small stream can become before it flows into the Danube. A foot bath in the ice-cold water is refreshing and recharges your batteries on your bike. :-)

The water body through which the eastern Günz River flows is beautifully situated. Various ducks live there, and even a pair of swans occasionally alight in the water.

I don't know if this is a highlight, but I think it's beautiful. A quiet valley towards the Notzenweiher pond, from which this stream originates. The trees are already falling apart or are being washed ashore by the stream during floods, and the long "grass" has probably been stirred up by the floods several times. It's a dream to walk on, like on very soft forest floor. Thankfully it was dry, and perhaps one of you knows what this grass is made of. I was surprised at how large the floodplains were, considering the small stream. Sorry, I forgot to mark the route.
