From the precipice of the Kappler Wand, you have a beautiful view towards Freiburg. It's also not far to the Schauinsland Tower, but it's quieter...

Gerberau is always worth a visit. There's an ice cream parlor and the Gaf Gaf (a shop with lovely gift ideas), jewelry, and antique shops. The beer garden is a great place to linger.

Many hiking trails lead there. Friendly staff, delicious food. In the basement of the church, you can refresh and strengthen your eyes with radon water.

The west-to-east-oriented street next to the Gewerbekanal, bordered at one end by the southern Kaiser-Joseph-Straße and at the other end by Gerberau and Adelhauser Straße, is only about 140 meters long. Once home to fishermen, who shared the Gewerbebach stream with the tanners on the Gerberau and stored their catch in the upper reaches. Source: https://bz-ticket.de/fischerau-freiburg
