The origins of the mustard mills date back to the 18th century. They are among the oldest mustard mills in Europe. The mills' former location is unknown. The mills were first restored and operated in Belgium in 1931. Over time, they were sold to the Netherlands, where they ceased operations in 1993. By chance, we were able to acquire these technical monuments. They were in very poor condition. With a great deal of time and effort, the first mustard mill was lovingly restored from the ground up and given a complete technical overhaul.
