The sculpture depicts "living-giving science" according to its artist, Marco Cochrane. It stands 24 feet tall, and was erected in front of biotech company Genesis Towers in 2020 to represent their mission. It shows a man and woman standing on top of a DNA strand, holding their hands in the shape of a heart.

This 2,400-acre park stands as an oasis of open space, right on the fringes of San Francisco. The highest point of the ridge is just over 1,300 feet (almost 400 meters) in elevation, and the views are great!

From here you have a great view over the 408-birth Oyster Point Marina. The marina consists of a fuel dock, fishing pier, and boat launch. The area around the marina has hiking and jogging trails, picnic areas, and sandy beaches.

At an elevation of 1,319 feet, San Bruno Mountain shoots up from sea level to the top of the state park in just a handful of miles. The main road through the heart of the park gets steep near the top, but the panoramic views of the ocean and hillsides makes it all worth the effort.

24 foot tall sculpture at the biotech Genesis’ Towers in South San Francisco, constructed of mesh and steel, depicts a man and woman standing on top of a DNA strand. They are holding their hands together to form the shape of a heart. Artist Marco Cochrane was born 1962 in Venice and raised in Northern California. Marco is a self-taught artist who began sculpting in his 20s. Per his website, β€œMarco believes that the time we have to solve the problems that threaten our existence on this planet is running out, and that the key to finding real, lasting solutions is bringing feminine energy into balance with male energy: a global shift, already underway.” He might be best known for the Bliss Project, a series of three monumental sculptures ranging in size from 40 to 55 feet in height. Each sculpture is constructed of welded steel rods and balls, covered in stainless steel mesh skin with interactive lighting effects. Bliss Dance, the first in the series, debuted at Burning Man 2010. She was next installed on Treasure Island in San Francisco from 2011-15, before finding a permanent home at The Park, Las Vegas. Next came Truth is Beauty, debuting at Burning Man 2013, now permanently installed at the San Leandro Tech Campus in San Leandro, CA. The final sculpture in the series, R-Evolution, made her first appearance at Burning Man in 2015. She is currently installed outside of Marco’s studio in Petaluma, CA. https://www.marcocochranesculpture.net
