This narrow path is too narrow to walk safely; it's made of soft sand and is quite worn. We broke off the route here, returned to the starting point, and then went to Paradiso Beach from there.

Above the beach, you'll find an excellent tavern, open as early as 9:00 a.m. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the large family that runs the place is extremely friendly.

We started the walk there because easy parking and beautiful view. You start that with a somewhat more difficult descent via loose stones but after this half hour the rest of the walk is via a driven sand road.

The route along the coast is no longer accessible all the way. After about 1 km the path is closed. However, you can take a "detour". A little earlier, a path goes up to the left, which takes you to the "return path", which you take in the "wrong" direction, only to turn right again a short while later. After a short while you come back to the coast.

Worth seeing, even if the monastery is no longer in operation. However, the bell tower and church are in good condition and can be visited. The fantastic view of the sea from up here is breathtaking - the ancients already knew where they built their monasteries! A place of peace and reflection - ideal for unwinding.

The beach is described in various travel guides as one of the most beautiful on Kos. If you like stony beaches, you will definitely get your money's worth here and there are many small bays that invite you to swim. In my opinion, it is more suitable for long walks on the beach. The tavern at the parking lot offers everything you would expect from a beach tavern at affordable prices.
