The reserve covers a significant part of the forest located east of Skuły, approx. 12 km east of Mszczonów. It was established in 1984 on an area of 316.92 ha, and has a landscape and forest character. It covers most of the Skuły-Wschód forest range, located in the Skuły forest district.
