Half-timbered houses in Neukirchen??? Actually, we're in Kirchhain, not Neukirchen. However, it's true that Kirchhain has many beautiful half-timbered houses.

Kirchhain station was built in 1849 as a station on the Main-Weser Railway (Frankfurt – Kassel) and opened in 1850. Like the station in Neustadt, it is one of the oldest surviving railway stations in Hesse. It was designed by the architect and Hessian building director Julius Eugen Ruhl. The two-story brick building in the center was expanded around 1900 with single-story additions on the sides. A single-story porch was added more recently. Since 1900, the station has been the starting point of the Ohmtalbahn railway line (Kirchhain – Gemünden (Felda)), which carried passenger traffic until 1980. Since 1999, however, only freight traffic has run to Oberofleiden, primarily transporting products from the MHI basalt quarry in Niederofleiden. From 1914 to 1981, the station was the starting or ending point of the Wohratalbahn railway line (Kirchhain – Gemünden (Wohra)). The station is a listed historical monument. https://industriekultur-mittelhessen.de/ort/kirchhain-bahnhof/

There is still a lot of half-timbering in this city, even if some houses appear uninhabited and are quite dilapidated
