I've ridden this ditch a few times. It's true. It's relatively narrow, and in certain places, it's really impossible to ride without dismounting. But, the route along the ditch is simply beautiful. On the other hand, I highly recommend the "Heidenwuhre" (Heathen Wuhre). There, you can actually dismount, except for about three times, and ride over the roots for a full 6 kilometers.
