View from Sveti Mikul

Highlight • Viewpoint

Great view, BUT: at the end of June, the path there was overgrown with giant cross spiders in their webs, waiting there for the millions of fluttering moths. Mostly the spiders hang quite high, but you should still be careful if you don't want to have contact. At the summit, hundreds of wasps also awaited us, which simply stung. Biting horseflies were also present. Rather mediocre experience.

View from Sveti Ivan Hill

Highlight • Viewpoint

The church on the top of the Kalvarija Hill (234 m) was built by Antonio Sforzina in 1755 as a dedicatory chapel of his family, and was inaugurated by the well-known Osor Bishop Nikola Dinarić, later Archbishop of Split. On the way that led from Veli Lošinj up to the church, the Way of the Cross (via crucis) with three simple chapels and wooden crosses was set up as stations at that time. Near the church, the remains of a simple stone hut have been preserved - a hermitage, in which lived the priest Petar Kokorin from the Zagreb diocese from 1807 to 1834. His second pilgrimage to the Holy Land inspired him for this way of life.

The facility serves the oil industry; beautiful is something else entirely. Since the antennas were installed, there's also a road/gravel path leading to the summit. Fortunately, there's a barrier. You have to walk or cycle up.

View from Televrin

A breathtaking view of the surrounding islands, accessible by a rough and in places steep gravel road. A perfect cross country ride. You can traverse from here to Sv. Mikul and then descend directly to Nerezine on a hiking trail, but that's truly for experts only.

View of the Islands from the Mountain Ridge

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

Here you will walk on the "spine" of the mountain and have view on left, on right and behind you! Pretty cool part that goes to Sv. Mikul.

Here you have to be more cautious as well since there are large rocks you have to step on which can be shaky.

One of the best hiking destinations on the double island Cres/Losinjs. Great trails, partly demanding hiking. Fantastic views of the Kvarner Bay.

The trail over Televrina, the island's highest peak, requires surefootedness in the immediate vicinity; there are also some exposed sections and possibly overgrown passages. Needless to say, the view is always breathtaking ;-)
