Right off the Londonderry Rail Trail, Hood Park is a great place for a break. Right next to Hoods Pond, there is a beach facing the water so you can sit and take in the views. There are also some nice trails around the pond that are open to the public.

The Londonderry Turnpike runs from Derry to the north end of Massabesic Lake. The whole section is great, with most of it traveling through beautiful tree-lined countryside, but going past the lake and over Deerneck Bridge is simply stunning. The views over both sides of the water are simply beautiful.
