The Bindsteinhütte is usually open during the summer season, typically between Easter and the beginning of October, every Sunday and public holiday. You can find current information on the start and end of the hut season on our website. The hut opens at 09:30 AM, and closing time in the evening depends on the weather and visitor frequency, between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM. In case of correspondingly bad weather (wet, cold, etc.), we reserve the right to close for the entire day. Whenever the mountain rescue flag is flying in front of the hut, we are happy to be there for you! We offer our guests small snacks and drinks at moderate prices. The range includes a selection of beer and non-alcoholic refreshments, coffee, pretzels, foam waffles, and chocolate. For a small hunger, we have hearty Landjäger (a type of dry sausage) and spicy Pfefferbeißer (another type of sausage) with bread and mustard ready. We would be very pleased if you use our offerings instead of bringing your own food and drinks. The proceeds go 100% to the Herbrechtingen mountain rescue service. You are thus supporting the maintenance of the "Bindsteinhütte" accident reporting point. The toilet is of course available free of charge to our guests during opening hours. If used without a purchase, we ask for a small donation. Outside of the hut's opening hours, the sanitary facilities cannot be used.
