Beautiful rest area right by the lake.

There's a well near the trail where you can pump water.

There are also two barbecue areas in front of and next to the shelter.

The shelter can accommodate 4-5 people overnight.

Beautiful rest area right by the lake. There's a well near the trail where you can pump water. There are also two barbecue areas in front of and next to the shelter. The shelter can accommodate 4-5 people overnight. Right below the lake, there's a seating area with two benches and a table. There's also a restroom nearby. Perfect for a rest stop on long hikes.

Most people go to the first lake, which is often overcrowded at this time. But if you just go a little further, you still have a lake. A dream for dogs too. Super clear water. Great sand. I can only recommend!

At the beginning of the lake there is a nice bench under a few trees. The ideal place for a lunch break.

The pond was created by Grundström in 1929 to make the area more attractive. Right on the pond there are nice seating for picnicking.

Odensjön is worth a visit because of its fantastic location and its different shapes. However, there is more to see than just a round lake. In the slopes themselves you can see snow niches (shallow niches), fantastic steep slopes and a cave (overhang). The lake is a very popular tourist destination. You can swim in the lake, but it gets deep very quickly and the bottom is rocky and muddy. There are several barbecue areas and a shelter. In the summer, Kultur i Natur organizes concerts with well-known artists at Odensjön. The event is therefore very well attended. Odensjön is an almost perfectly circular groundwater lake on the edge of the municipality of Röstånga. It lies in the depressed part of a crack valley running north-south. The lake is known for its shape and there have been many myths about its formation and history. Among other things, it was always claimed that the lake was bottomless. Lake Odense has crystal-clear water and is 19 meters deep. The water maintains a temperature of approximately 6-8 degrees Celsius at the bottom. The fact that the temperature is so consistent throughout the year is due to the lake's relatively deep water supply and its drainage. The water surface is 60 meters above sea level, and the plateau is approximately 100 meters above sea level.
