From the birdwatching huts, you have fantastic views of the birdlife in the Beltringharder Koog. This is especially interesting at dusk when the birds are flying away and returning.

In the Beltringharder Koog, there are birdwatching huts where you can enjoy great views of the salt marshes and saltwater lagoons and watch birds. If you're lucky, you might spot huge flocks of barnacle geese flying overhead.

The trolley tracks on a mini-dam to the Hallig Nordstrandischmoor, just a few kilometers away, provide an exceptional photo opportunity. Overnight guests are picked up by trolley.

The Beltringharder Koog is located on the North Sea coast in the north of Schleswig-Holstein and is an impressive nature reserve that attracts nature lovers as well as cyclists and hikers. The North Sea at the Beltringharder Koog shows its typical side - with changing tides, wide mudflats and a rich bird population. The area is part of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can experience the impressive diversity of the Wadden Sea, which is one of the most productive ecosystems in the world. The Beltringharder Koog offers numerous opportunities for bird watching. Especially in spring and autumn, when thousands of migratory birds rest in the mud and salt marshes, the Koog becomes a paradise for ornithologists and nature lovers. Species such as the shelduck, the dunlin and the bar-tailed godwit can be seen here regularly. Sea eagles and hen harriers can also be seen here occasionally, making the Beltringharder Koog a popular destination for bird watchers. For cyclists and hikers, there is a network of well-developed paths in the Koog that lead along the dikes and through the nature reserve. These paths offer spectacular views of the North Sea and the adjacent salt marshes. There are several viewpoints and observation huts along the route from which you can observe the flora and fauna undisturbed. The Beltringharder Koog is also an interesting place to learn more about coastal protection and the formation of polders on the North Sea coast. The landscape of the Koog impressively shows how man has shaped nature and the coastline over the centuries in order to gain land and protect himself from the forces of the North Sea.

The snack bar “Zum Strandkorb” on Nordstrand is a popular destination for visitors who want to enjoy a delicious and uncomplicated meal after a day in nature. This charming snack bar is located very close to the dike and offers its guests a wonderful view of the North Sea and the wide landscape of the peninsula. A highlight of the snack bar is the relaxed atmosphere - here guests can sit back comfortably, enjoy the fresh sea breeze and take in the surroundings while enjoying a delicious snack. The menu of the snack bar “Zum Strandkorb” offers a selection of typical North German dishes that delight both locals and tourists. The fresh fish sandwiches, which are made with freshly caught fish straight from the North Sea, are particularly popular. Other classics such as currywurst, chips and homemade soups are also available. If you are a little hungry, there is also a selection of cakes and coffee specialties, which are particularly popular with cyclists and hikers who take a break here. The snack bar's location right on the dike makes it an ideal stop on a bike ride or hike along the Nordstrand coast. The comfortable outdoor seating, some in real beach chairs, invites you to relax and enjoy the fresh sea air.
