On the mountain heights of Bohus Malmön there are no less than 13 preserved cairns, which are about 3,000 years old. The cairns at Bohus Malmön are special in several ways. There are many cairns here in a small area and some of them are unusually well preserved. In addition, nine of the cairns have their own names that were recorded as early as the 19th century. https://www.bohuslansmuseum.se/kunskapsbanken_bohuslans_historia/gravrosen-fran-bronsaldern/#:~:text=På%20Bohus%20Malmön%20har%20hela,och%20kan%20ha%20murade%20kanter.

Tiny fishing station made up of small huts set over a turquoise sea. Take the time to admire the fishing boats, and scramble along the smooth rocks that surround the bay.

Breathtaking spot to stop for a break. The view along the granite cliffs stretches well beyond Karlsvik bay, and out to sea towards the numerous islands.

Beautiful sandy beach surrounded by granite cliffs. The bay is fairly narrow, and protected either side by long peninsulas, so the water is exceptionally calm for swimming. There are two barbecue areas just above the beach.

The part of the Kärleksstigen by the dam is called the Brenner Pass. At the Brenner Pass on the Kärleksstigen at the Näckrosdammen, the inscription "Bränner Pass" was made when the road was built as emergency work during the Second World War - but was slightly misspelled... On the road towards the Brenner Pass and Fiskelægt there is an inscription "SES 1847" in the mountain on the left side made by Samuel Ericsson, son of Erik Nykter who lived in "Skogen" as a crofter in about 1820. He married "Beata i Bäcken" in 1847 and also took over the homestead the same year - and also carved this into the rock.

There is an official and signposted nudist on the southernmost part of the island of Malmö in the municipality of Sotenäs, far inside the bay that lies northwest of Skräddarvik and southeast of Hästholmen. There is a small jetty and ladder to step into the water. Lots of rocks and no sandy beach.
