Lovely spot to ford or cross by tree-trunk bridge. Just not when the river is in spate after heavy rain! When fording in spate, the river will be up to your crotch and the current is strong. The tree trunk bridge will have its first few 'rungs' in the water, so you may want to do it barefoot.
