This is a fun trail for all skill levels. Beginners will find plenty of challenges to test their skills, and experienced riders will love flying through the flowy sections. It makes a perfect loop with EZ Trail so you can make laps if you want to.

The Moab Brands Trails, aka Bar M Trails, have a little something for everyone. You'll find cruisey singletrack loop perfect for beginners, challenging technical sections for intermediates looking to improve their skills, and white knuckle downhill runs for experts only. Keep in mind that some trails are one-way only, so be sure you're not caught heading in the wrong direction.

Pasture Butte is a stout tower perched atop a vast expanse of slickrock. This is where the Monitor-Merrimac Trail loops back around toward where you came from.

This opening section of the Monitor-Merimac Trail (or the Buttes and Towers - Monitor-Merimac Trail) is when the fun begins. After an initial sandy section from the parking area, you gain the slickrock that this trail is known for, and that will characterize the rest of your run. Although it is a little hard underfoot, running on this huge expanse of slickrock beneath the Mill Canyon Mesa is a special experience. This is a very popular trail with mountain bikers so be sure to keep an ear out for them.
