Picturesque spot by the small stream

The two benches are situated on a slight rise. So far, I'm still fit enough that I don't really need a break there... maybe in 20 years. Nevertheless, I've lingered here a few times, as the cross on the opposite side of the path has always prompted me to pause for a moment. All the photos added by the many other visitors to this spot also tell the eventful story of my home forest over the past few years. Thank you so much for that! 💞

On this path between the two ground gates, we saw several wild boars in mid-August. Both young and adult. We've been hiking for 10 years and have never encountered one before. It's not a problem per se, but you might want to be cautious during the breeding season. Just a friendly reminder...

This highlight is part of the hiking route "Border Trail of the Arnsberg Urban Area," a communal meditation on the Arnsberg urban area marking the 50th anniversary of the 1975 municipal reorganization. The ten-stage hike was developed at the invitation of the Arnsberg Cultural Office as part of the #ARTinprogress funding program of the Cultural Secretariat of North Rhine-Westphalia in Gütersloh, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Historical Map: (Map and Plan Collection), GK 52 - Map 1: District Map - Arnsberg District. The border of the former Arnsberg district is shaded in pink. The border of the former Arnsberg district ran along the Dombkebach stream. The current border of the city of Arnsberg still runs here. How long exactly has it existed here?
