Right next to the church is a nice café. The church itself is just a church in a village.

During the First World War, prisoners of war undertook extensive excavations in the beautiful urban Böhmewald forest. This work made it possible to renovate the existing small toboggan run on the steep edge of the Böhme Valley and to build a second toboggan run. A shared starting point was established on a newly constructed hill, from which both runs descend approximately 30 meters in length. Today, it is still possible to see where the soil for the starting hill was excavated. The impressive scale of the manual labor performed back then is still palpable. Work began in the winter of 1914/15 and lasted over a year. The runs were finally officially opened for the first time on February 25, 1916.

In the beautiful urban Böhmewald, large earthworks were carried out by prisoners of war during the First World War. These works made it possible to renovate the existing small toboggan run on the steep edge of the Böhmetal and to build a second toboggan run. On a newly created hill, a common starting point was established, from which both runs led down with a length of approx. 30 m. Today, it is still possible to see where the soil was taken for the starting hill. The impressive dimension of the manual labor performed at the time is still palpable today. When there's a lot of snow here, it's really fun to heat up under it. It's also great for hiking.
