March 11, 2026, View from Aurstaupet

Aurstaupet is often referred to as Mini-Trolltunga. After a short hike, you suddenly find yourself standing at the edge of Aurstupet. Keep your distance, as it is several hundred meters down. But the view from up here is magnificent.

You will need sturdy shoes, a reasonable level of fitness and a head for heights – then you can enjoy the trail around Göksøyra and the magnificent surroundings with their spectacular views.

The route up to Göksøyra requires you to be in good physical condition and have a head for heights. But once you've made it to the top, you'll be standing on the edge of Goksøyra, also known as the „Eresfjord Monument“. From the summit, you will have breathtaking views of the emerald green lake Eikesdalsvatnet and the surrounding peaks of Møre og Romsdal.

September 11, 2025, DNT Svartvassbu

Situated by a beautiful mountain lake, Svartvassbu is a superb base camp for summit hikes to Nebba, Sjøvdøla, Nyheitinden and Helvetestinden. It's a self-service cabin and there are just 12 beds in total, so advance booking is highly recommended. The cabin features on the Romdalstien long-distance trail.
