A wide sandy beach open to the North Sea, very different from the small bays and lochs we found further north. At low tide the sea retreats a great deal, leaving a huge expanse of sand, rocks, and small rock pools. A good place to stop for a while, walk by the water and enjoy the vastness of this Scottish coast before continuing the route.
