April 5, 2026, Das Steinei

The Steinei was built between July 2020 and December 2020 in approx. 350 hours of voluntary work by Klaus Waldbüßer. Each stone was worked on with a hammer and chisel and then placed without mortar or adhesive. The weight is approx. 4 tons. The egg was originally and first exhibited at the BUGA in 2019, held in Heilbronn, and moved to this new location the following year, stone by stone. Respect for this voluntary effort.

The "Lautereck Water Castle," historically known as the Teusserschlößchen (little Teuss Castle), sits enthroned in the middle of a lake fed by the Teusser spring and is surrounded by forest landscapes. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when it was part of the renowned spa and even offered guest rooms and warm baths.

this "downhill" in the direction of Lehrensteinsfeld is only for MTB. About 150m at the steepest part, this stretch is unpaved and full of holes and loose stones. Something like that doesn't deserve to be called a cycle path, but it's marked as such!
