We followed this route on a recommendation and were absolutely thrilled. So many lovely people, all clearly dedicated to bringing starlight to the Advent season. We enjoyed several mulled wines along the way and learned from one man that he donates the proceeds (a five-figure sum) every year. Yes, it was a truly special day, and the words inscribed on the stars along the path were very encouraging. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this experience.

Information about the Valley of 1000 Lights can be found at https://www.buehlertal.de/de/buerger/freizeit-kultur/kulturelles/tal-der-1000-lichter It is worth taking the route when it starts to get dark. A flashlight is an advantage.

A very beautiful path that we have already walked twice this year. You always meet nice people along the way. At various stations you can try mulled wine, tea, children's punch or various schnapps. The residents along the route have put a lot of effort into making it very beautiful.

The star trail is well marked by illuminated signposts. There are mulled wine stands along the way, and things to buy such as wooden art, hats, etc. Throughout the Advent season until January 6th, numerous stars and stations light up from nightfall and show the way. Worth seeing!

One of at least two Fatima memorials in the area. Very beautiful Marian grotto with the possibility of lighting candles. Benches in front of the grotto for the contemplative hiker.

It is not only called Guckenhütt, but also “Schluckehütt” (see front page of the hut), as the hut is located above the vineyard.
