The John Paul II Olympic Centre in Warsaw (Żoliborz) is a multifunctional complex at ul. Wybrzeże Gdyńskie 4, which is the seat of the Polish Olympic Committee. Its concept originated in the 1980s, and after many years of preparation and implementation with the participation of Echo Investment, the building was opened in 2004, and in 2005 it was named after John Paul II. The facility houses, among others, the Museum of Sport and Tourism, the Olympic Education Centre, the Polish Olympic Foundation, and other institutions associated with the Olympic movement.

The Horowe Bagno Nature Reserve, established in 1988, covers approximately 44 hectares and protects peat bogs, marsh forests, and habitats of rare plant and animal species. It is divided by a highway, with the S8 expressway nearby.

The Grota Bridge is a less popular bike path, primarily due to the unfavorable spiral roads that require double crossings to access the Żoliborz side. The Grota Bridge itself was built between 1977 and 1981 as part of the Toruńska Route. It forms part of the Warsaw expressway bypass. The first designs for the bridge were created in the 1960s. According to these designs, it was to be a cable-stayed bridge supported by two pylons. The design was changed due to the high construction costs of such a bridge. The final design was prepared by a team of engineers from the "Stolica" design office, led by Witold Witkowski. The Gen. Stefan Grot-Rowecki Bridge in Warsaw, formerly Toruński Bridge, was built in 1977–1981 as part of the Toruńska Route. It is 645 m long and consists of two structurally independent parts, each with five lanes. The reconstruction of the bridge to the parameters of the S8 expressway lasted from 2013 to 2015. The bridge is one of the largest in Warsaw and is a key element of the city's expressway bypass. In 2015, one dismantled bridge bearing was sent to the Pontiseum at the Road and Bridge Research Institute.
