The area is still officially considered a construction site, which is why entry is prohibited — anyone who dares to do so does so at their own risk. However, seeing the former magnificent building from the outside is an experience in itself. Furthermore, according to „Troj Miasto”, there is now hope that Lapalice Castle could eventually be completed in the not-too-distant future: According to reports, the city council has approved the development of ideas for future use, almost 40 years after the dream began to take shape. Kazimierczak is said to have already expressed interest in a collaboration.

Kazimierczak has since submitted multiple applications to be allowed to continue building on his castle, but so far they have all been rejected. And yet, the unfinished building, solely due to its incredible size, has become a tourist attraction that thousands of people visit every year. Among locals, the place is just as popular for picnicking against the impressive backdrop.

Kazimierczak doesn't skimp, he splurges and builds a ballroom and a huge swimming pool for his own castle. The artist works on his home for seven years until construction is finally halted. This has two reasons: First, the authorities noticed that Kazimierczak had simply appropriated land that did not belong to him. And ultimately, the builder simply ran out of money to continue working on his dream.

It's worth heading to this sandy beach and the great pier in Ostrzyce to relax by Ostrzyce Lake. Since you're in the center of Ostrzyce, everything is right there: parking, bars, and water sports equipment rentals, if you need them.

This impressive church, built by the Carthusian monks between 1383 and 1405, is unmissable! It is the best-preserved Carthusian church in Poland. Inside, it boasts magnificent historical furnishings: an altar from 1444, Baroque choir stalls, and chancel walls upholstered in Flemish cordovan. And the exterior? The roof is shaped like a coffin!

The path is barely visible. At the end, there's a large ditch that's barely passable on foot, let alone with a bike.

https://urbexplorer.com/lost-places-urbex-touren/lapalice-castle-polen-kuenstler-und-die-realitaet/ We weren't alone here; many others were also visiting. This seems to be semi-legal. There's a paid parking lot a few hundred meters away, the gate is wide open, and there are no conspicuous prohibition signs. https://youtube.com/shorts/dKa2_D9bwtE?si=evKRw_FISjkrlEXB
