From the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant at first glance. But inside it is very beautiful and lovingly decorated. It is probably the only restaurant on Madeira where nobody speaks English, but the people are so friendly that it is a lot of fun. The food is typically local... I give it an A with *. I love it. The meal of the day was polenta with tuna steak. Extremely tasty and all for 10 euros. The stop was very entertaining, it's worth it. I would go back anytime.

The ABRISO DO POISO restaurant at 1412 meters above sea level offers good and inexpensive places to stop for a bite to eat with parking and toilets. There are also good picnic options on the other side of the road with tables and benches in the shade and in the sun. There is also a bus stop at the house. A great starting point for hiking and biking. A stage of the Enduro World Cup MTB series was even held nearby.

A natural and well-maintained (shaped) trail that is very popular with MTB and Enduro riders. Here, some slight steep curves, flowing passages and jumps with Chikenways are beautifully embedded in the nature. Be careful: hikers could also get lost on the trail.
