Eventually the Briar Creek Greenway will run for 6 miles and connect with the longer Little Sugar Creek Greenway. As for now it consists of 2 separate sections and a total of 1.4 miles, but it does run through some nice areas.

This 19-mile greenway runs south from Charlotte to the South Carolina border. Along the way it follows its namesake creek through several parks and Charlotte suburbs. The trail becomes more tree lined the further you get from the city, ultimately coming to an end at the state border near Pineville, North Carolina.

A great place to park when starting your journey on the greenway. This park also makes for a great "rest area" and includes a post with tire pump and bike tools.

Stevens Creek Nature Center is a great place to start your day at the Stevens Creek Nature Preserve. There is ample parking outside the center and access to the hiking trails. Opened in 2021, the Nature Center offers a variety of different programming for people of all ages, and features live, native animals, a classroom, an exhibit hall, and a gift shop.
