A nice viewpoint under the shade of an oak tree just off the Harmon Canyon Road. There's not much in the way of shade when you get into the Northern section of the reserve, so I guess it's a good idea to take it where you find it on the lower slopes!

The Ropersmith Family Trail winds between the junction to the Goldenberg Overlook and Harmon Canyon Road. It's a shared use trail, offering a nice downhill-only route for those on two wheels - so do be aware and let those riding with gravity on their side pass by. No dogs allowed on this trail, so leave your canine friend at home. Spring is the best time to visit as you will likely enjoy a carpet of vibrant yellow wildflowers covering the landscape.
