Idyllic-looking valley in the south of Dortmund, just a few kilometers from the city center.

The "Witches' Circle," as it's known in the area. The willows have been heavily pruned and aren't quite as impressive at the moment. They stand in a circle in a large meadow on private property. It's easy to see why this is supposed to be a magical place. Even if that's just a bit of nonsense, you can simply enjoy the pretty willows.

A new cycle and pedestrian path runs from Zehnthof to the vineyard at Phoenix Lake. It's a very modern cycle path with several ascents and descents, including along the B1 and Freiligrathstrasse in the southern part of the garden city. Just try riding the whole thing – it's great fun! There's also the Elias railway line path to the lake, a direct connection from the blast furnace at Phoenix West – impressive industrial heritage. So, it's the east-west axis.

Nice new cycle path, not quite finished yet... but the former railway line of the old Hoesch steelworks is gradually being completed. Keep checking the RVR website regularly to see if and when construction continues.

A superb unpaved forest path in the Kurler Busch bush. Very "pathy" or single trail-like. A bit slippery in rain and wet conditions. Otherwise, a very varied walk.
