David Chapman
January 4, 2026, Kellys Run Nature Preserve

Definitely a must do hike if you’re into hiking or being out doors. The trail varies between smooth tarmac, narrow dirt forest trails, challenging climbs, water crossings, and scrambling. Larger dogs would be fine to take with you, and would have a blast, small dogs will struggle at times if even finding it possible.

While the Susquehanna river trail is beautiful, parts of it can be muddy/flooded and sometimes impassable after heavy rain.

With the Conegstoga River on one side and quiet woods and grassland on the other, this peaceful smooth road is a joy to cycle on and escape the busier town roads.

Nice trails and a beautiful landscape! But be aware that the trail markings are not the best.

The White Cliffs of Conoy are a must-see. They sit nearly 30 feet above the riverbank and are the residue of a local limestone and dolomite quarry in the 1800's. The cliffs afford grand views of the Susquehanna River.
