Located in the Manubles Valley we find another of the many charming towns with a lot of architecture and history in this area of Aragon. The imposing Castle stands out, of which the remains remain today, and the spectacular church of San Millán located on top of a rocky crag.

Torrijo de la Cañada is a town located in the Manubles river valley that will undoubtedly leave us speechless. In Torrijo de la Cañada there was an episode that left a mark in the history of Spain during the Celtiberian wars. We can also visit the Church of Nuestra Señora del Hortal, the Hermitage or the old bridge where we are. And on the hills that rise above the town, there are more than a hundred old wineries that give us an unusual and wonderful image.

Nice ascent to the Puerto de Murero that has a distance of 2.6 km and a maximum slope of 17% and an average of 7.4%, giving a positive difference of 190m that makes it a 3rd category port. We could say that it is brief but intense and very attractive since it crosses the forests that surround Daroca and the Jiloca river valley.

Beautiful views of the Tranquera reservoir, from the town of Nuévalos, with the imposing Torre del Castillo behind us. If we are lucky enough to go with the reserves of the reservoir well charged with water, we will see the spectacular emerald blue color that it has. We will find fishermen, people bathing and a lot of fauna.

The fact of being a border city between regions and kingdoms has marked the history of one of the most suffered but at the same time beautiful cities in Aragon. At this point we find ourselves at the Lower Gate that welcomes us to the city through which we can tour its walls, built at different times, up to the old castle from which we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Daroca.

Beautiful basilica in the city of Calatayud where the interior stands out with an altar and impressive baroque wooden altarpieces. It is the most important basilica of the order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem in Spain.
