This wall is reminiscent of what one often sees at museum exits: the stickers that serve as admission tickets are often stuck to a pole, door, or wall upon exit. Here, no museum stickers, but the Roubaix logo (often abbreviated to "RBX"). The artist behind this work is Vianney Daltes. Roubaix runs through his veins. He has been active in graffiti for 20 years, professionally since 2018. In 2018, he traveled to Miami with Mikostic and JonOne (two artists whose work is also on display elsewhere in Roubaix) to meet all the founders of the graffiti movement and create a piece in one of the most iconic street art museums. The names of local resistance heroes are engraved on the monument so that their sacrifices will not be forgotten by future generations. Commemoration ceremonies are held here throughout the year, bringing the community together in moments of remembrance and solidarity. The monument's design is deliberately understated, allowing the depth of its meaning to be expressed through its forms. Source: francerent.com
