Reaching the iconic Bafi Refuge on Mount Parnitha in the pouring rain! We missed the snow by just a matter of hours—only for the entire mountain to get perfectly blanketed the very next day. A cozy but slightly heartbreaking milestone, but still the best place to shelter from the elements.

This is the entrance to the rocky hill. You can lock the bike somewhere in case you dont want to carry it till the top. As you enter, on the right side the path seems to be easier to hike. You are close to the best view point of Acropolis.

The Acropolis of Athens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which stands on a rocky hill and represents the glory of classical Greek civilization. The magnificent citadel is a work of art dating back to the 5th century BC. The entire complex consists of several buildings. The Parthenon: patron goddess of the city, the Erechtheion: famous Caryatid Hall with six graceful female statues, the Propylaea: a monumental entrance gate, the Temple of Athena Nike: dedicated to the goddess of victory.
