Guadalmina River Gorge

Highlight • Gorge

The Guadalmina gorge, also known as Las Angosturas, is one of the most refreshing spots in Benahavís and in summer it is common to see people bathing or doing the water route. If you dare to enter the water, wear closed-toe shoes with good grip and keep in mind that some sections can be deep and require swimming.

Easy and pleasant route, without much unevenness and shady areas

On Sundays there is a flea market at the small church by the parking lot

A wonderful path along a very old but still intact and used irrigation system. Well worth seeing and ideal for a small group with the family.

At the end of the tour you come out at the bridge over the small canyon. There you can descend to the pools, which invite you to swim and rock jump.

An easy, leisurely hike for everyone....with a historical background, because this canal system was already laid out by the Arabs... An impressive feat of engineering that is still used to supply the neighboring areas. The description of different plants is also good... You always learn something new 😊

An easy and popular trail. I felt like I was in a botanical garden, none of these plants grow wild in Latvia.

Spontaneously set off for a short tour in Benahavis despite the unfavorable weather forecast. Very beautiful, many beautiful views, always along a watercourse of Arabic origin.
