WOW, what a hike! Everything Scotland has to offer: sun, rain, and lots of wind. Sensational views. Nature without end 😊 The hike was partly over a lot of scree on very difficult paths, and the wind and rain made it perfect.
The tour is amazing... beautiful but really strange!!! Was glad. that I took sticks with me! And you need a lot of water!! And time!!! The times given may be correct for brisk hikers. Older semesters need much longer!!! I was on the road for 9 hours!! The way down is very difficult!!!
Bidean Nam Bian and Stob Coire nan lochan with my daughter 🏔❤️
The most beautiful views in Glencoe, this walk takes you through the Lost Valley and up to the Three Sisters with 360 views of the Scottish Highlands 😍 Have any of you completed this walk?
For the last tour again really sugar in de Bobbes .. Hammer prospects, bright sunshine and a great tour over 2 Munros. The peaks are only a little higher than 1100 m, but since you start almost at sea level, it is already a tour with an alpine character. As always, Komoot exaggerates with the Hm and has sometimes refused to work again. I was pretty much in the blind, because after the 2nd summit, the first section leads down with practically no path.. Oldschool orientation still works....
Today we did two Munros. The first at 1115m, the second at 1150m. The fact that there are no marked trails in Scotland feels a bit special. It's nice to see a red orb in other countries. So the first ascent was guesswork. At the top we came together with a German couple who had left before us. A little company in the clouds gives a little more security. Despite the beautiful weather, it was again "foggy" on the peaks. However, the adventure only started when we had to enter the "lost valley". Our path was covered in snow and went down quite steeply. So first, together with the Germans, down the rocks and smooth turf and then through the snow. Luckily we had walking sticks with us, which helped. Behind us came another four. No accidents happen. Normally you are not allowed on the snow if you do not have an ice ax with you. But there was no other option... Tomorrow we will attempt to climb Ben Nevis, the highest in Scotland! But the weather is beautiful.
Insane views in Glencoe today. I started my hike early to beat the inevitable crowds on a sunny Saturday ☀️ what a day!
Fantastically beautiful tour, above the valley of tears, with alpine flair 😃 In terms of weather, I had everything again. Except sun. There was even a little hailstorm…. But today I played it safe and put on a rain poncho over my rain jacket. Looked like a "wandering mountain demon with an aberration of taste" but remained reasonably dry. Today the storm was also much worse than the rain. It almost blew me off the summit again. Rarely have I cursed a lot during a hike, but it was still awesome 👍👍👍
