Sélé Refuge

Balanced on a spectacular rocky bar at the end of the Celse-Nière valley, the Sélé refuge welcomes you in the heart of the Écrins massif.
It is a superb meeting point between hikers, alone or with family, and mountaineers who leave for the Ailefroides.
This refuge has a capacity of 76 beds and offers traditional catering when it is manned. Reservations are required.

Almost 1000 meters in altitude, including the final section of the climb to the hut, mostly secured with ropes and with climbing passages. I felt like I was in the DAV climbing hall, but without any additional safety equipment. In the snowfield you can see a chamois and an ibex. The chamois at the end was only a few meters …
