Sutton Harbour Marina

Highlight • Rest Area

Plymouth's Sutton Harbour Marina is home to around 420 boats of different shapes and sizes. The Marina is one of the UK's best sailing destinations. It is also a pleasant place to stroll around and enjoy one of the restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you visit in July, you might be lucky enough to see the Sutton Harbour Classic Boat Rally. The Barbican, Plymouth

Highlight • Historical Site

In this old district of Plymouth, in addition to historic buildings, there are many catering establishments with bulging terraces. The Sutton harbor complex is almost always close by. This gives the whole a cozy relaxed atmosphere.

Highlight • Monument

Lovely views over Plymouth Sound close to The Citadel and a few yards away from Elphinstone car park this is a great place to start a waterfront walk passing The Hoe and Smeatons Tower. Smeaton's Tower Lighthouse

Highlight • Monument

Smeaton's Tower is a memorial to the civil engineer John Smeaton, the designer of the third and most notable Eddystone lighthouse. A major advance in lighthouse design, Smeaton's structure was in use from 1759 to 1877, until erosion of the ledge on which it was built forced new construction. The tower was largely dismantled and rebuilt on Plymouth Hoe in Plymouth, Devon where it stands today.
