The Half Pipe – Melindwr Blue MTB Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This blue-rated section of the Melindwr trail is known as The Half Pipe: fun and flowy singletrack leading to a series of brilliant bermed switchbacks that'll really get you practicing your cornering. The views are almost distracting as they stretch out over the surrounding hills, but when you're flying down The Half Pipe you'll certainly have no time for those!

The Nose Blue Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Starting from near the viewpoint, The Nose is one of the best trail sections (in my opinion) at Bwlch Nant yr Arian. It's rated as blue, but more advanced riders will still have a lot of fun at speed and playing with the jumps and doubles along the way as you move out from between the trees in the more exposed felled area.

Drunken Druid Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Forest

The penultimate trail section on both the Summit and Pendam red-rated trails, Drunken Druid has been recently reworked to include some rocky sections through the trees that are pretty reminiscent of the nearby Coed y Brenin trail centre.

Barcud Bach Blue Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Super fun blue-graded mountain bike trail descent, the final descent back to the trail centre and cafe on the Melindwr Trail. Expect big views and skinny singletrack, with lots and lots of switchback berms.

If you really love it, simply head back up the forest road to have another go!

In the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest you'll find a series of trails for both walkers and mountain bikers, including blue, red and black-rated trails, as well as a skills area.

There's a great cafe and shop here, and you can watch the daily red kite feeding, which attracts up to 150 of these marvellous raptors.
