Town Hall Square, Pergine Valsugana

Highlight • Settlement

The building consists of two parts, with the front part being the older structure. The current town hall, which – as the year engraved on the eastern and western portals attests – dates back to 1697, originally consisted of a vaulted ground floor, which housed the customs office, and a first floor, where there were two rooms of the pawn office, a hall for municipal council meetings, and a small archive. In 1713, the structure fell victim to a devastating fire. In the second half of the 18th century (the year 1786 can be seen on a window in the eastern wall), the structure was extended with the rear part. With additional storeys in the second half of the 19th century, the town hall took on its current form. Source: Information board

Lake Caldonazzo

Highlight • Lake

Lake Caldonazzo is the largest lake in Trentino among those entirely enclosed within the borders of this autonomous province. Lake Caldonazzo is located in the Alta Valsugana and Bersntol Community and the Brenta river originates from it. It has a surface area of just under six square kilometers and sports such as canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and water skiing are practiced on its waters.

Not far from the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo, crossed by the splendid Valsugana cycle path, many hectares of land are dedicated to the cultivation of apples. Cycling without traffic among the apple orchards is a truly unique experience!

Lago di Caldonazzo = a treat for the retina! The loop follows almost exclusively well-signposted, mostly paved bike paths. The most accessible stretch for cycling is 2-3 km past Levico Terme on the SP 228, which is very narrow and has lots of cars. Conclusion: The loop is highly recommended.

At the end of my tour through the regions of Northern Italy, I was able to do this varied tour in beautiful summer weather.

My conclusion: Il Trentino è bellissimo!

A very nice trip through the mountains. Only after the Speckstubbe it is too steep, even for an E bike. Had to walk for a large part, luckily it only goes downhill after that.

Surprisingly beautiful route with lots of variety, almost only on cycle paths and small side roads. Cycling is prohibited at Lake Levico, but you can ride slowly or push your bike. Lake Levico is a place to unwind, almost otherworldly 😌

Caldaro am See was originally planned, but unfortunately all pitches are fully booked.
But at Lake Levico and all around it is also beautiful 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏽‍♂️🚌

I have no idea what was going on with Komoot today, I didn't push and I didn't drive 4 hours either 🙈🙈

Really surprising. There are wonderful cycle paths here where you can cycle fantastically away from the main roads.
