Skye
May 11, 2023, Yes Tor & High Willhays loop from Meldon Reservoir

For all those who want to walk this route: it's best to take hiking rubber boots! Or particularly waterproof hiking shoes with a high shaft! Due to the very large amounts of water (it hadn't rained in the morning) we struggled with the paths! We constantly had to look for other paths because they were actually flooded, stop, search first or avoid a semi-wild herd of cows with young animals that were lying in the middle. All in all, we were on the move for 3 1/2 hours, but with a break and always making sure we went, we needed a total of 6 1/2 hours!! Plan a full day for the hike, otherwise it is beautiful!!
